Day 1: An early morning departure as you travel south to Dover for your ferry or Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. Continue your journey to your overnight hotel.
Day 2: After breakfast, continue your onward journey into Northern Spain to your coastal base of Roses, where you will be greeted at the Coral Platja Hotel with a welcome drink.
Day 3: Complete day at leisure to settle in and make the most of your fantastic hotel location, next to Santa Margarida Beach and only 300m from Roses resort
Day 4: Today you head to the capital of the Catalonia region for a 1/2 day guided visit of Barcelona. Included in the tour will be entrance to La Sagrada Familia Cathedral masterpiece of Gaudi, the world renowned Catalan architect. Afterwards, you will have time to discover the city at your own pace; stroll Las Ramblas avenue at leisure, indulge in tempting tapas or perhaps visit Camp Nou Stadium home of FC Barcelona - the possibilities in this fascinating city are endless.
Day 5: Full day touring escorted by a English-speaking guide to discover the wider area of the Costa Brava, its rugged coastline of rocky headlands indented by beautiful sandy coves, ancients fishing villages and medieval historic town centres.
Day 6: An excursion to the regions second city of Girona. Walk the city streets and cobbled lanes and take in the delightful Romanesque and Gothic buildings; churches; museums and galleries are all plentiful.Before returning, stop off in Figueres home town of Salvador Dali, a delight to explore on foot. Whilst in town perhaps visit “Teatre Museu Dali”, entering the artist’s entrancing and unique world, which houses some of Salvador Dali’s most striking pieces.
Day 7: A leisurely day in Roses today which will set you up nicely for the onward journey through France tomorrow, presenting one last chance to laze in the pool, bathe on the beach or souvenir shop in the heart of the resort.
Day 8: Today you depart Roses and make your way back to our overnight hotel.
Day 9: After breakfast, depart to catch our return ferry/Eurotunnel from Calais for your onward journey home.
