Liberation day - 9th May

Liberation Day in Guernsey and Jersey falls on the 9th May, each year a celebration is held to commemorate the occasion. The atmosphere continues to be one of
jubilation to this day. A real island get-together where you are likely to hear music from the 1940’s as the party gets into full swing. On Jersey the re-enactment of that historic moment when the Jack was hoisted above the Pomme d’Or Hotel in central St. Helier is a pivotal point. This annual event is held in high regard by locals and visitors alike.
